My new 222 CCCP has arrived
« on: August 03, 2009, 09:27:38 PM »
I'm so excited to get started on this project.
The previous owner decided to let it sit for some unknown time.
Yes, I'm very aware of the Ethanol issues many many outboard owners
have encountered.

Today I drained all the carbs and Lubed up all six cylanders with Tcw3 oil.

I will work on the starter next.
I have verified 12+ volts to the starter although have not yet
given it a start yet. I will probably work the engine by hand first
then once verified that its free try the starter.

I'm going to drain the tank and or start it off a aux. tank.

It will take some time although I'm so looking forward to getting on the water.

I have gone through the blogs and google waking an outboard aft storage.

I anyone want to offer any tips feel free to chime in.

Thanks

Well from the look of the size of the fish
I'd say he's going to need a bigger boat.
