How much gear can a 200 XF carry?
« on: September 21, 2009, 03:40:29 PM »
Well the 200XF had a baptism of fire of sorts.  I was asked to help Ferry a Boy Scout troop of eight out to a island for a camping trip.  Since the scoutmaster was the guy who built my fuel tank for me I was happy to help.  What I had underestimated was the amount of gear they would bring. They had full backpacks for everyone, tents, tarps, sleeping bags, food, coolers, 50+ gallons of water, 20 lbs propane tank, and while they didn't have the kitchen sink they did have a huge camp kitchen too!  Thank god I asked a buddy of mine to bring his 1970 CaryCraft to help ferry them out.  Here are some pics of the gear we unloaded after I brought them back from the island.  I'm surprised the little 125 was able to even move that boat let alone get it up on plane!
