Looking for the Hatch cabin cover 98 225 Explorer
« on: September 07, 2009, 09:58:20 PM »
Hello everyone, I am new to this site being that I just purchased my 1998 aquasport 225 Explorer.  The hatch cover that lifts up to enter the cuddy cabin is broken and I would like to find another one.  It is the top hatch that lifts up on the 3 hinges, not the bifold door.  Also, their is  a fresh water wash down that does not work.  which switch controls that (accessory?) and what type of motor is needed.  I will check it when I begin to take it apart.  The live well  does not work as well.  the pump does turn on but it didn't seem to pump any water into the tank.  suggestions.  Also missing the tube that goes into the alrger hole in the live well.  What size tubing, and how long should I make it?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Steve

Thank you Rick.  I am very excited about the boat and look forward to going out on it this weekend!  The boat is really beautiful.  Now I need to come up with a name!

Welcome aboard, can't help with the hatch but on the livewell, when you look at the pump, the water in hose goes through a plastic coupler unscrew that and check the fine mesh wire filter. The drain pipe on my 97 is 1.5 inch/16 inch long, with a rubber fitting that goes on that and locks in the hole.Is the wash down fresh or raw water.

I have a saltwater washdown that is connected to the live well.  i also have a freshwater washdown.  I am not sure how this works, mine does not work.  Is it controlled by the acc. switch?  Thanks for your help. Steve

Also, that rubber gasket is great info, would not have thought of that one.  Then I would have been wondering why it wasn't holding the water.....Thanks again.  This is a great site!
