Outboard size suggestions
« on: June 24, 2009, 08:28:11 AM »
I am rebuilding a 222, modified v hull. I am currently looking to repower the boat as part of the rebuild and I need some suggestions on what size outboard to buy and what the expected performance would be.

I am looking at 175 to 225 outboards. What performance do u guys think I would get with the 175? What is everyone else running? What are your suggestions, comments, experiances?

Rated for 230HP, with total capacity of 1200 lbs. Should run well with a 200.  Pay attention to weight!
