That is a tough question. From what I can tell - build quality was always good, but varied from year to year. It should be around 3/8"... they were not as beefy as the older Makos.
It is possible that some of the very late model ASs were chopped on the first layer of glass - but that is not a big deal. Don't know how much you know about fiberglass, but the first layer of glass after the gelcoat (in a mold) is normally mat, and I have been told a lot of manufacturers chopped that layer - then hand laid the subsequent layers.
