Help with a Laval Aquasport Challenger 151 repair/rebuild
« on: May 25, 2009, 10:41:17 AM »
Good Morning Folks,

I inherited a Laval Boats Aquasport Challenger 151 from a family member. The plywood that compose the floor (2/3rd aft) and seats is completely rotted through. When I began disassembly I found that approximately 75% of the hardware is rusted out or otherwise failing.

I have begun the repair by removing the seats and taking up the wet moldy plywood floor. The structure underneath is sound with no rot or issues. A test ride prior to the repairs showed no flexing in the hull.

I can not find any information about the Challenger 151 online or in the forum, and no history of Aquasport. Does anyone know this boat that can offer some advice or maybe a digital copy of the original manual?

Jon

I hate to be bearer of bad news, but I don't think that boat is of the Aquasport brand, probably just a model named "Aquasport" offered by Laval boats...

some pictures would help
