Hey Rick, how's fishing in the bay?  How are the snook doing?  Or are you fishing for sheepies?

Haven't been out in a few weeks - been building some furniture for the bedroom. Landed a big 22" Jack and then a 28.5" Red a couple weeks (maybe a month) ago.
Just about finished with the headboard. Don't want to de-rail this topic much but here are a couple pics:
Red oak outer frame and MDF field.  Will be attached to the headboard wall like "built-in.  Next is to figure out how I want to finish it.

Nice work on that head board. hobby or livelyhood. I am retired but cant stay away from the craft.

Bill, don't worry, we all still know what this thread is about, so keep asking questions, we'll help.

Rick, I'm a "cherry" guy, don't know if you've given it any thought.  Now a 28" red is excellent, but that damn jack must have pulled like a freight train!  Lots of fun for a fish you just throw back!

And Bill, eat your heart out, we can do this in the winter time.  Ran into a bunch of schooling reds on Wed out of Aripeka, every one 16-17.  Couldn't find the bulls or big females.  But it was fun!  Redfish slot is 18-27", and I am an ethical fisherman.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand.

Bob, reason for the Red Oak is to match the flooring in the BR.
Yup, the Jack was swinging the 170 around on the powerpole   Caught it on my lightest tackle too - 10lb test. 8)
Had to return the red to fight another day.
