I am Ready to start redoing the non skid areas on my boat.Decided to go with Interlux Perfection they recommend up to 12 hours between coats do I have to remove tape after each coat or imeadiatly after final coat.
Thanks for your input guys

Use the blue painter's tape and you'll have no problems.

I usually use green 3m tape for tape offs when painting something, its fine line tape. Wont let paint seep under edge when rolling or spraying.

Maybe my question was not clear. Must I take the tape off after each coat or do I leave it in place until final coat is done some 12 hours later.

Not sure what to tell you on that, havn't used that paint. I generally remove tape after paint has kicked but hasn't cured. Otherwise some paints tend to lift at the tape line if left to cure. I'd check the product specs and see what it says. You might have to use a special tape to mask off, 3m makes specialty tapes just for such things.

OK I painted my non skid used the perfection by Interlux very happy with results the product is all they say,as far as the masking tape used 3M fine line left it on over night betwee coats removed about an hour after final coat had no problem left nice crisp edges.If anybody needs interlux products try wholesale marine cheapest I have found :bounce: :bounce:
