seems good to me - the ocean runner is driving the price down, I bet.  It is a carb'ed 2 stroke.  Very reliable, but VERY thirsty.

Did you check the NADA?

I have a 98 245 Osprey and here is a little history on it.
Purchased new 4/99 with a 225 Optimax, trailor, Teetop and electronics box for $34800.
In 2001, it was returned to Sarasota to have the deck pulled and stringers/supports installed under and in front of the Teetop. Seems they used the same hull as the cuddy model. ( NO SUPPORT OR STRINGERS where the cudy would have been hence a spungy deck)
Last month the deck under and behind the teetop became spungy and had 1/2" +- of give. I contacted Aquasport and they sent me to a fiberglass outfit in Miss. The deck is being pulled as we speak as the Balsa wood was rotten and will be replaced with a high density foam to prevent any further need for repairs. I HOPE!!!
When it leaves the fiberglass shop, it goes to have twin 150 Yamaha 4 strokes installed.
Optimax is outta here! Nothing but problems.

Stevie
