Have you changed hull configuration ie. full transom & bracket?

I have added a bracket and a slightly larger engine so I moved the tank about 2' forward from standard.  Also, I am putting all the batteries under the console which I moved up about 12".  Maybe LilRichard will jump in on the tower position.

MD

You mean an underfloor tank, right?  I put mine as far forward as I could.  What does your stringer setup look like?  Stock, or did you redo?

About the tower, that is open for opinion.  The further back in the boat, the smoother the ride - but the more the weight will be toward the aft (obviously).

The way I did it was to lay out my livewell, center console, etc, and looked at walking room / working room.  It ended up that my tower is about two feet aft of the center point of the hull.

Getting a tank under the floor with stock stringers is tough, because there is not much room between them... Some guys are cutting part of the middle stringer out and adding fore and aft bulkheads - that is an option.
