Tanks were mfg'd by Florida Marine Tanks in Hialeah. Telephone 305 620 9030. They have all original specs. Make a drawing of your tank, and they
will fax back correct engineering drawing for your approval.

Easy job. Remember to replace ALL fuel lines while you are in there.

Thanks for the source.  Have they always been the source for AS?  (Remember to log in this time - been there, done that   )

I just replaced the tank in my 86' osprey three weeks ago. I had my tank custom built by C.L. Matteson here in Tampa. It cost me around $400 for the tank, fittings, and new lines. It was very easy, just remove the console unbolt the tank access hatch and two straps hold the tank in place.

Do you have a phone number for Matteson?
I'm gonna need a new tank built and want to give them a call.
Can't find them in the phone directory...

Sorry it took me so long to reply, I just got back from the Keys, the the number for C.L. Mattson is 813-248-6095. They do great work and it only took them 4 days to finsh my tank.

Hey, Deck Daddy.  Are those transom boxes the originals offered by AS, or did you build them from scratch?  The look very nice and do a good job of uncluttering the deck.  Another question:  Do you feel that they add some bouyancy to the stern?  My 1985 Osprey 170 has a 1992 Mariner 115, and if floats a little bit stern down while at rest.  Maybe something like this may help it a bit.  While at it, it may also help in raising the scuppers a little bit above the waterline while at rest.
