Looking for new replacement fuel tank for 1997 225 Explorer
« on: August 17, 2008, 03:18:27 PM »
Does anyone know where I should go to buy a new 102 gal tank to replace my original one?  Ethanol is eating away the original MTBE buildup on the sides of the tank and I can't seem to find anyone who can actually clean the tank for me. I'm trying to find the brand and model number for the oem replacement or a suitable alternative.

Also does anyone know whether there is a replacement web site for the Aquasport web site that Wellcraft was maintaining for a while? It was that site that told me that my tank is polyethelene but aquasport.com doesn't seem to exist anymore.

Here's another source for fuel tanks.  I think quite a few members have used his services.

I didn't realize that the Aquasport site had shut down, unless they're just having problems with their site.  I guess it was just a matter of time <!-- s:roll: --><!-- s:roll: -->

I guess once again, we're the best source of info around for our beloved Aquasports.  <!-- s:thumright: -->:thumright:<!-- s:thumright: -->

Thanks Mad Dog. I'm looking for an oem replacement for my poly tank. If I can't find one I'll start looking at the custom aluminum fabrication guys like yours. Appreciate your reply.

Thanks Rick. First I'm going to try to find an oem tank, a poly one. Failing that there's a few guys up here in Maryland that make custom aluminum tanks too but they're a lot more expensive than the poly ones. Anyway, that will be my last resort. Thanks for the reply.
