Steering Isues
« on: June 22, 2008, 03:49:33 PM »
Our boat seems to have lose steering at slow speeds. The boat doesn't want to keep on track, it isn't pulling one was or another but just kinda moves around side to side. Is that part of the boats inherent quirks or is  the steering mechanism just worn out.
The boat info is in my signature.

Thanks

Maybe your trim tab(small fin above the prop) is not adjusted properly !

Oh and welcome :)

Nope we have spent some time with that anode and the boat stays true to course at higher speeds.

Yeah it's true, that trim would not have much impact at slow speed. Hmm, change anything lately ? Or do you have trim tabs on your boat ?

Yeah we have bennett trim tabs. both work just fine but we don't use them much seeing as the boats main purpose is pulling for water sports. wake boarding and waterski ect.
