Well I broke down and bought a Floscan for the 19-6 Aquasport, one thing I really hate is guessing how much fuel I have.......  My question is are the fuel tanks on these boats 30gal, I've never ran it dry ??  Any of you guys run a Floscan on your rigs and how well do they work? Thanks, Greg

Greg,
I run one on my 200 Rude. It takes fuel from an 85 gal. tank on my 222CCP. I have the model that has a digital readout of fuel consumed as well as the analog GPH. It works very well and I trust its accuracy.

196 tank

Most 196 Aquasports have a 55 gallon tank.  So you are not likely to run out after 30 gallons...       But a good safety measure!

I find the flowmeters most useful in finding a good cruise speed to save gas and money.  Sometimes a touch of trim or throttle can make a big difference in fuel flow!  Check it out and see what you find.

See ya on the water!

greg, i'm a newbie but from everything i've read the 19-6 (70's era) has a 50 gallon tank.

Yeah Capt. Bob, I also got the one with digital readout on the bottom and the analog GPH gauge.... If I look at a 55 gal. drum and look at my fuel tank, I don't think they would hold the same amount, now remember my console has been moved foward(up to the casting deck) and my tank is under the console....Can I measure my tank(depth-width-hight) and figure out how many gallons it is with some sort of formula? The previous owner thought it was a 30gal tank, but was not sure..... Thanks for the help...

Yes, measure length, width, and height, and multiply each by the other to  compute cubic inches.  Then divide by 231, as there are 231 cubic inches in a gallon.  (Actually 231.000001 cubic inches, but I think 231 is close enough).

Hope this helps!
