need an experienced opinion what is a better choice between awlgrip and gelcoat. i am ready to fair the floor and new transom gotta choose. all i hear is awlgrip, awlgrip, awlgrip... is it for real?

Both have their merits - I like paint personally. Do a search, there was a thread just a few weeks ago about this.
Don't spend too much time fairing the floor though - once you put non-skid over it you'll never see the small stuff.

Another brand that is popular with the boat builders is System Three epoxy primer & LPU Epoxy Paints. That is what Shine used on his AS rebuild.
