Powder vs. epoxy

Take your pick - either is good.  Remember how long the original tank lasted with no coating?  The new one will last twice as long with epoxy or powder coat - maybe longer than you will...

True, good point.  Difference is about $30 between powder and epoxy coating.  Any recommendations on epoxy coatings if I do myself??

Just go get a gallon of Rustoleum Coal Tar Epoxy - you can get it from Sherwin Williams.

Coal Tar Epoxy was made to be underwater, Powder Coating was not.  Coal Tar is the right stuff in my opinion.
