Just bought a 1987 222 Express Fisherman.
Does anyone have any info on this boat? This has an I/O on it and can't find another like it online.Iknow the stringers are foam filled but how is the Transom constructed?

Thanks for any Info you can provide.

Unless it has been redone, it is wood.

Congrats on the new boat!  The 222XF is a great combination of fishability, family use, and is still a size that is fine for single handed use.  Check out the info in the photo gallery:

Carvguy,

Unfortunately, LilRichard is right - wood. I've got an '88 222XF. Let me know if I can answer any questions or provide any information, based on mine. BTW, it's a great boat. The cabin is not something you'd want to spend a lot of time in, but it does give you some cover from the elements and lots of dry storage, with a cockpit big enough for serious fishing. Like all Aquasports, its very seaworthy for its size -- have had mine up to 25 miles in the Atlantic, offshore Ocean City, MD, where 2-3' waves are a quiet day. The boat always performed flawlessly, but much better the more I got to know it. Duh!

Hey Fishhead - how did that "mac-daddy" garage come out?  You teased up with the "before" pix and then .....
