Qatari fishermen's trip
« on: March 15, 2008, 07:31:48 AM »
I just uploaded a bunch of photos about a complete trip with Qatari fishermen. These photos describe the journey from leaving the port after midnight until selling the fish at 0800hrs, including boat, engines, crew, preparing the net, sleeping, sunset, pulling out the net, the fish, and selling in Doha Corniche Fish Market.

Important Note:
You will find a description with time under each photo.

I believe it would be interesting    for many of you in the States & around the world.

Don't hesitate to ask me any question. Waiting for your comments.

Thanks for sharing the pics. The netting part looks the same as anywhere in the world- lots of unintended fish (what is called "by-catch").  The interesting part to me is the "Fish Market" - cool.

Capt. Bahi, reminds me of Bahrain. I was stationed there back in 02-03 and took a fishing trip on a dhow out of Manama. Nice to see an Aquasport in the Arabian Gulf. Did you bring to boat with you? or did you find over in Doha?

How to get there

I could guess a variety of ways to get a 170 to Qatar, but my favorite idea would the the Star Trek Transporter:

Cool  :) !!!
No, I really don't know how my sweet little 170 arrived Qatar. Even the Qatari guy I bought her from, he had no idea.

To discover out, I believe that I'll need to hire a PI  8)  to trace the matter back from Y'84. Can you find me a good one at your side?
