22 degrees outside. Any suggestions on a de-icer that will not harm or damage the gel coat.  Stripers are in and we want to keep Aqua 70 in til Christmas.
     We have been using salt water from the ocean/bay.
Frost in the morning has been a problem as well.
4 inches of snow yesterday did not help. We broomed her off with tender loving care.
     You guys in Florida???  ENJOY !!!!

I can't help but I know what you are talking about.  I went striper fishing out of Cape May with the inlaws about this time of year.  Frost on the fishbox and the gunnels.  That made me think twice about going out.  :shock:

It's not always warm in Florida.  Earlier this week is was freezing in the morning----It was like 55!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember once when I was a kid in Sarasota it said 19 degrees on the bank sign/thermometer while I was standing at the school bus stop.  So if it was 19 here, it had to be super cold up north. :shock:

i am fairly sure that any deicer will work because all it does is brings the warmer water from the bottom up to the top so that it will not freeze i have a kasco 2.5 hp. and it works great,

Someone sugested windshield washer fluid.
    Scooped, the snow out by hand with a homemade bailer. Used a plastic detergent container cut in half.
    The weight of the snow was a real eye opener. It eventually turned into a wet slush that messed the float up on the bilge pump. We had to keep it in the manual position.
     We are going out tomorrow setting up the chunk for stripers. Water temp is in the low 30's.
    We constructed a nice clear vinyl windshield out of pvc to cut down on the wind.
    My buddy called from St James. Fla. 84 degrees, sunny, and he was catching fish.
