Rear casting deck - poling platform throught #2

OK - so we are mostly sight casting to 5 - 20 pound fishing in shallow - sometimes blue water.   I am looking for a way to gain a little elevation in the back of the boat.  I often stand on the rear hatch covers, but more area would be welcome.

Has anyone built a really elegent rear casting platform?  Know anyone who has?  Definately don't want it to look like a train wreck.

Aquasport actually made a rear platform that fit into the back of the boat.  I think there is a picture of one of these in the resources section.  It was not very popular, and looked like a PITA to take in and out...  

It was called the "Fisherman's Pack" and was on the Custom 170.  You can see it in the 170 photo here:

I stand on the bench helm seat and that gets me up higher than that monstrosity would, plus I still have what little area there is in the back, available.  I can't imagine how heavy that must have been, considering the technology back then. - Contains cooler, fishbox, baitwell and battery storage.
