Gone Fission and Restlessfishing,
Thanks for the replies. That helps a lot. I have learned a lot about these old boats on this site. It has been really fun. For the moment, one other question- does my boat, which is a center console, have a model name, such as Osprey or Family Fishermen. Thanks in advance
Katherine

Post a few pictures of your boat if you can.  Always like to see other members boats.

Originally the center console models were known by their number designation 170, 19-6, 22-2, 240, etc.

Aquasport started calling the center console models "Osprey" around 1980.  The numbers changed from the ones with a hyphen to solid numbers, so the 19-6 became the Osprey 196.  Other names for popular models included:
Express Fisherman, XF - for the Walk-Around Cuddy
Family Fisheman, FF - for the cuddy model
Center Console Professional, CCP - for the deep-V center console
Center Console Cabin, CCC for the 246 cuddy with the center console
Tournament Fisherman, for the 27 and up boats
