1-way more weight than CCP
2-probably more air resistance also
3-What is your WOT rpm?

I can break 40 with my 225 with all the extra air resistance and weight that I have.

Can't argue on 1 and 2 and don't know for sure on 3, tach is usually on the fritz - only when I'm on the water  . Hopefully find out this weekend.

Got it WET today first time

I got it (KNOT LIFE) wet today for the first time. What a great hull/boat! I had to reprop & got 42 mph w/gps @ 5700rpm. I will tweek the jack plate (trim tabs this coming winter to raise the stearn more @ WOT) & I expect 45 ish mph. I'm OK w/that. Thats w/3 aboard & 85 gal. fuel. On my Nitro fishing boat I had 70 mph w/same 150 Black Max 2.4L engine. This was easily the best looking boat on the H2O today. I used MUCH of the rewiring info from this site/member input to completely rewire this 222 CCP, thanks to all!! I LOVE the way this hull handles. I will post new pics when I can. I'm very pleased w/the way the instrument panel on the console turned out. Again, member input played a BIG part.

Post some pics for us! I'm going to put mine in the water this weekend and tweek the height of the motor on the new bracket!. Got it mostly together this week and will finish her up in the next day or so and post pics to my thread in the rebuild section.
Beware the lolipop of mediocrity, lick it once and you will suck forever!
