Did Tom tell me you were getting your boat rebuilt?
I know you just mentioned the repower in the other thread, but is there more to it?

I had a soft spot in the deck that, upon further inspection, turned into a fair amount of wet wood (never again). I patched a fairly large portion (4' x 3') and reinforced the rest so that I can get through the year.
After meeting Tommy at Hammerhead and seeing his work, I decided that I'll probably redo the entire interior next winter. My boat looks good from afar, but its pretty utilitarian inside. I'd also like to close in the transom.
Jury's out on whether I'll do it 05-06 or 06-07. Just depends on how long the deck lasts. Let's just say I won't be riding in the tower in any kind of chop this summer.

Has the floor ever been replaced before, or is it original?
I think Hirons' yellow 19 over in the back of the lot at TYCC has the same problem.

Wilson-
It was replaced about 5 years ago. I bought the boat from a guy that ran out of money and desire in the middle of a rebuild. I'm learning that he cut a few corners. Most of them I can fix, but a poorly constructed deck is kind of a killer.
I'll be working on it this weekend in my driveway. Give a holler if you're out and about and I'll give you a tour.

Both Tom and I will be down in the keys this weekend, for a Bachelor party, so I'll have to take a rain check.
Let us know how it goes.
I've poked my head inside your boat before.

The deck work is complete with a shiny new layer of gelcoat. I'm awaiting a new fuel tank to replace the leaky POS the guy put in. Next is the new trolling motor on Birdsall mounts.
I need to hurry though because the snook are all over the place. Another 2 or 3 degrees and they'll actually start eating.
Give me a call any time.
