Pros @ Cons of 19-6

I realy do want a 19-6 now. When I was looking for my 19' Mako I coulden find one. An now that the oldest child has taken it over....An I'm looking for a Aquasport , I've come across more makos.

So tell me some stuff about the 19-6  please  good an bad

Aside from being a good looking boat, the 19-6 is small enough to launch/retrieve single handed but big enough to handle four people fishing with reasonable room.

Jim are there more than one type of aquasport 19' boat. The one in the pics you posted  I like. the one that has the console next to the front deck? Like this one in this pic newboat5. I'm not sure about. If there is a diffrance how do I tell by what is in a add ?. Like 19-6 the other would be called ?
becouse what I'm looking for is the 19-6 you posted. I'm dealing will a fella some 1100 miles away. I would like to know what He's trying to sell.

I have an 87 19-6 and really like it.  The benefits are a ridiculously shallow draft for a boat it's size, and a nice deck layout.

The cons are it's not going to ride as nice as a more offshore oriented boat with more deadrise.

hey do you have any old documents of the 1979 aquasport 17ft with the 2 floating live wells like the one in the picture above?

Don't have any more docs. except for a price sheet which quotes the option at $90.00 back in the '70's.  These are pix of the factory originals Deck Daddy has on his 170:

Nope, not even close slim.  The boat you're referring to

has a modified center console that has been moved up onto the casting deck.  The one Jim showed above, is a standard placement of the console.

that's the second one I've seen like that. Was it a common thing to do. this mans boat has it done as well

Maybe commercial fisherman or people that wanted to crab, etc., that owned the boats moved the console forward so they had more room in the back.  We've not seen any literature that showed a factory Aquasport like that.

Forward console configuration will beat your a** to pieces in all but calm water.

since I started to look for another project !!!!!!!

I have come across
 A 1973 19-6 bone stock shows fair amount of age but nothing to impose to much trouble to cure.. 1100 miles away.
 A 1971 19-6 with that moved foward console. shows a lot of ware nothing that coulden be fixed. 965 miles away
 A 1975 19' Mako bone stock good shape. needs cleaning. 35 miles away.
 A 1980 17' Aquasport (tanmans) great shape  900+ miles away.
 A 1987 17' Aquasport ready to go less a little motor work 900+ miles away
I realy like the 1973 19-6 an Tanmans 1980 17'
My sons 19' Mako will be done in a fews weeks. My 24' will be up for sale. an should sale rather quick. then I'll be ready to start on my new project.
