I found the best HVLP gun was at Harbor Freight and I checked high$ and cheap - HF was the best. I found the one with the 1.8 needle or 2.0 needle to be best for flow.
She's looking good umecheme.

Looking very NICE. Pretty sure you're in Maine, what month ends outdoor work up there? Go go go.

We're closing in on the end of good days for painting... but the family is home from summer vacation, so who knows how much time I'll get out there.  Need at least 2 good days for topcoat.  preferably not in a row.  I figure one good day of sanding with 320 before any of that.  I'd like to get 3 coats of topcoat on (which would be 3 good days), cause I'm sure I'll have to do at least some wet sanding and buffing. I did end up going with the cheap purple HF spray gun, and at the price I paid I bought 2 in case I gum one up.  Its just taking some practice, the primer is thicker, even with the spray reducer at the recommended dosage, so it flows slower than the topside when I have that reduced to the recommended amount.  I just need to suck it up and adjust the gun on something other than the boat before I actually start working.  Also my buddy suggested that I wear a headlamp or set up a flood light, so I can see what is wet and what isn't when doing the white on white. I'll see what works best.

Its blue... coat one done. A little light in spots, but no runs.. I think it will lay a little better if I put some more paint on... but it seems risky for runs... It had just stopped raining when I woke up and the blue sky came out. No dust for today. Humidity had dropped to 55% when I started squirting.
