What’s it worth?
« on: November 11, 2023, 07:57:57 PM »
Hi
I’m looking at a 1985 222 CCP and I am wondering what it’s worth? From looking at it and walking around on the decks they appear soft in a couple of spots. It has a tandem axle trailer that is in good/fair condition. It has an Optimax that the owner says runs but will not go in gear. No T Top but it does have the coffin box. I am looking for a project so my plan would be to replace the decks, fuel tank and enclose the transom.

Thanks in advance

Decks feeling soft on the CCP can be just the lack of support under the deck. The CCP has tall stringers and in front of the console where the large coffin box is there is little support under that box.  Some people cut in access to the area under the box and use it for storage and add a cross member for support. So feeling the deck spongy could just be that, both in front and behind the console. If the hull is in good shape it could be worth $4-5k. Rebuilt it could go as high as $40k.
