Trim tab makes Lowrance reboot.

Last evening when I adjusted one of the trim tabs, my Lowrance HDS 10 (Gen 1) cut out and restarted. I adjusted the tab again, same result.
We were cruising at 3800RPM and volt gauge was reading nearly 14v so I'm a little confused as to what's going on. I don't use the tabs often so it appears to be a new problem.
Anybody have this happen and can offer ideas? Thanks.

Electric tabs or hydraulic? Both can draw some current. Most problems in a boat come back to a bad ground in the system. Grounds start at the engine.

agree w the above, somethings most likely not grounded well w the tabs and using the Lowrance circuit to make up for it, temporary low voltage to the Lowrance is causing the restart.
If you can put an indicator light within the Lowrance circuit it will dim when you hit the tabs, verifying the low voltage problem.

Thanks RickK and dbiscayne. I'm eeking out the last of the decent weather now but will tackle some wiring during the dry season.
