Is the 1984 22' the Osprey? and used to be the Flat-back?

Yes. But basically the same hull design from 1972 thru 1987ish. I could be wrong but I believe they were coined Osprey about the late 70s early 80s when they changed the cap style slightly to be slightly more raised.

 The earlier “flatback” models were as early as 65 or 67 (the Coburn & Sargent models) and they became the aquasport 222 in 1968 and were built till about 71’ ( in Hialeah, FL.) when the modified (12 degree deadrise) was developed and carried through the years.
