225 Explorer Hydraulic Steering Hose Length
« on: February 01, 2022, 10:56:53 PM »
I'm in the process of re-powering my 1996 225 Explorer and I am also going to replace the existing Steering System.  Probably going to go with the SeaStar Hydraulic System again.  Any suggestions and does anyone know what length hoses are the correct ones for this hull?

Appreciate any suggestions or information.  Thanks!

I would definitely look into the new Dometic electric steering, looks like Seastar but is electric which will allow it to easily connect into any new MFD electronics and you can have autopilot on a small console without all the additional components. It's on my bucket list for my 225 Osprey

Steer by wire, throttle and shift by wire may be way to go. What MFD brands interface with dometic that are autopilot capable?
