keep getting water in my fuel separators

Hi everyone - am new to the site - have a 2001 205 Osprey centre console that I imported in to Australia. Have been advised by my mechanic that yet again have a significant amount of water in the fuel separators requiring them to empty the tank. This is the 4th time this has happened over the last 4 years or so. Amount of water is way beyond the norm.
They have tried everything they say including pressure testing - additional O ring around the filler etc
Both them & me particularly are pulling our collective hair out.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated?

Well, if you have emptied the tank and it has passed a pressure test then logic would dictate that the source of the water is the fuel supply.

Back in the 80's when we bought our fuel in the Fla. Keys, it was not uncommon to drain 8oz or more each time we ran. The old tanks at the marina were a constant source of water contaminated fuel.

Just a thought.

It is not entirely uncommon that during certain sea conditions that water can enter through the overboard vent if it has one. I had to install a stainless clamshell over my vent on my 22-2 to keep it from happening. Additionally, make sure you have the correct O-ring or gasket in your fuel fill cap so when it rains or during washdown that water is not entering there either. Water in fuel from petrol station is very rare these days, assuming the same standards are held in Australia.

Agree it’s more likely at the source, the tank in the 205 is polly and not at all exposed to the elements

Agreed….gotta be the fuel source.  By chance have you been using the same fuel source past 4 years?
