water in bilge and identifying through hull

I am a brand new 72 22-2 owner. On our first trip out it felt like the bilge kept getting a lot of water in it and I manually drained 3-4 inches several times. It was a dry ride so I feel like it's getting in somewhere. Plug was in. I'm still learning the ins and outs of boats in general, much less the specifics of this one. Any help on where to start is greatly appreciated. I need to track down the purpose of this through hull as well as inspect the live well plumbing.

Check the forward casting deck for a fish locker, see if it has a drain in it. The hose may have pulled off or deteriorated.

good chance it's one of the thru hull fittings leaking, if it's the one for the front storage area never mind what I suggest below the water won't rise hi enough.
while at home on the trailer set the boat about level, fill the bilge with 4" of hose water & look for the wet spot.

Thru hull fittings are a likely culprit. The hose in the bilge trick works good to check the lower ones. That front one is probably a storage locker drain like Rick suggested. If you don't have easy access to it from the inside, stick the hose on it from the outside and see if water comes out of the back. If it does you can be pretty sure that's the problem. A clamshell cover can help keep water out of it too.

Thanks for the help. The fitting looks like it runs to the anchor locker drain. The fish box in front has a drain but it looks like it just drains to the bilge. I’m going to run a camera through the bilge this weekend and see if I can track everything down. The plumbing on the live well looks suspect too.
