AquaSport 19’8 1981 hull Opinions please!!

I’m new to this site and am extremely grateful to have such great knowledge and information at the tip of my fingers. I just bought a 1981 19’8 osprey hull and Need to replace the fuel tank and am having a difficult time finding a fuel tank that will fit. The dimensions are 64L X 21.5W X 8H I thinks it about a 47-50 gallon tank. Any ideas where I may be able to find one close to size? Another thing is the boat came with a bracket and I’m not sure if I should keep it I want to hang a 2014 150 HP Suzuki on it that weighs 475lbs. Any input and or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Nice looking starting point. Where are you located? A lot of people move the tank forward some to balance the weight better, especially if they have a bracket. If you're going to move it, you're not stuck with the stock size which opens up the options. Marine Surplus in Sarasota has a bunch of different sizes in stock. You could of course also go the custom made route.

The deck is solid so don't have any plans to redo the deck. I would like to find a tank that would fit or be close to a fit. Custom may be my only option and I am in the Palm Beach area thanks for the reply.

They were one of Aqua's suppliers. I bought my 91 replacement from them. They have cut sheets on many Aqua models.

I hear ya. This time of year you want to be out in the boat, not cutting it apart. Hopefully you can find one.

Try Ebay, just for kicks.  I've sold numerous tanks there.
You never know, might find the right size.
