As far as what size pump, the general rule of thumb is to have the livewell water exchanged every 10 minutes, or 6x/hour. Let's say you've got a 30g well...6 x 30 = 180. So the minimum pump size you'd want is a 180gph pump. However, if you reside in a warm climate with warm water, like say west coast of FL, you'll want a pump with twice the gph capacity. Bait in summer months need freshly circulated water due to the water temp.Assuming all of your thru hull components do not need replacing, the other part I'd add is a high speed pickup, which also aids with priming. They ain't cheap, but if you look around in marine surplus stores you'll definitely find a used one. High speed pickup example is linked below. http://www.boatersland.com/grosth2000w.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwbWni5rX2gIVyLjACh2Oxw7REAQYCCABEgJLJfD_BwE
