Need Title for 1979 Osprey 17 ft CC

Looking for a title for a 1979 or close 17 ft Osprey center console.
Son bought a boat without making sure the title was there.

Geez, not good.  Hope he at least obtained a bill of sale.   Locate the HIN# for this model year.  Someone here can probably tell you its location on the hull.  Then once you've got it run a title history report.  Most recent owner should be the same owner your son purchased from.  Report will list owner addresses.  If he purchased from a person not listed on report, he's up shitzzz creek.
