'99 175 osprey center drain tub from bow to stern

Just wonder if anyone has ever replaced the floor on a '99 175 Osprey? If so, do you have a photo?

I am trying to figure out if the PVC tube that runs from the bow to the stern is 1 solid tube or are there any bends.

Over the weekend I discovered that a previous owner thought is was a good idea to store random items under cavity under the fish box. Well the tube appears to be obstructed, not sure if there a jog or a one way valve in that tube.

Well I can confirm that the tube does not run front to back. Today I used a snake camera and discovered the sturn tube ends at the gas tank and the bow is about the same. There is a good amount of water in the middle. Perhaps the concept is it drains out as your on the water?

I would like to vacuum some out

Thanks for the update, I was wondering the same. Once you get yours cleaned out would you mind trying to see how the aft end of the bow tube ends and let us know?

Thanks, so there appears to be a void of a few inches forward of the tank.

What I have read with other boats is when the boat is on it plane, the water flows through the tube into the blidge and then pumped out. Maybe someone here, that knows a lot more than I pretend to do and comment.

On a side note, I am not sure why, but I can't find a single thread where someone has had to tear down/rebuild the deck for a 1999 175. Not sure what happens to all the 175's, but it doesn't appear that they are bought and rebuilt like the larger 200 or 225 boats.

First, if the 175 is set up like the larger Genmar hulls, water passes from the forward bilge via the pipe into the tank compartment and passes under the tank support. There it passes through the pipe into the rear bilge. The support platform in the tank coffin isn't very high above the hull so it can become blocked over time.

Truth is we don't see a lot of Genmar era hulls being rebuilt. That's why you can't come across one here. Maybe they were built (sealed up) a little better than their Hialeah cousins or the earlier models are just more popular.

Kind of off the topic..

I see the 175's all over the place up here in Maine, all still look like brand new. A couple weeks back, I was just pulling out of the water and 2 175's were launching (1998 & 2000), both in great shape. One owner said to me, they are great for coastal fishing, easy in and out of the water and built like a tank, just plan on getting a little wet with the chop.

In fact, the pricing seems to be on the rise for the 175's, at least up in the New England area.
