Water leak

Hi guys, New to forum-1997 osprey 200
I am battling water in fuel and have been observing
water draining use garden hose. I get a lot of rain water in bilge
and discovered what I think is the source. This AS has two
forward hatches, first hatch is storage and after that is the fish box.
The rain water drains from floor into first hatch drain channel this then
flows to the fish box drain channel. The water accumulates between the two hatches forcing the water back into the storage hatch which has a drain hole
into bilge. There is not much space between the hatches. One thought I'd to realign the hinges to prove more space or drill passage hole in the side of the fish box cover giving it more drainage capacity. Rather not meds with hinges. Any ideas? Thanks Mike

Do you have water in your fuel or water not draining out of hull?  Realize, these 2 have nothing in common in one another.   The fuel system is sealed and contained, aside from the vent.

Since the hatches have gutters, the water that makes it’s way into the bilge is likely minimal.  You could add gaskets, if you can find something thin enough that it won’t prevent hatches from sealing.  A more likely culprit is the drains for fish boxes and storage, or a hull/ deck seam that needs to be caulked.

As for water in fuel, the first place to check is the fuel vent.  The vent hose either needs to have a loop that rises above the vent or a p trap type vent fitting.  Without the trap, spray can enter the vent and flow into the tank.  A downward/rearward facing clamshell over the vent can help too.
