Help Identifing 1977 22'-02" Model
« on: November 14, 2007, 11:13:42 PM »
I am new to the website. I have been re-doing a 1977 22'-02" Aquasport. Does anyone know based upon the photo attached what model my boat is? I can't find anything on the Pink Slip or builders plate to identify it. It's a very good boat and has taken many hours of hard labor to restore. Your help is appreciated.    Jeff

Welcome Aboard Jeff :!:  :!:
Nice looking 222 8) (I fixed your post - all it was missing was after the url)
I think I see a sliding hatch up front?  I think they called that a "dual console" model.  Any more pix?

I believe your right.
The trim on the bow (sliding hatch) and the gunwales (if that's the proper term) points in that direction. Check the brochures section under 222. There is a section for FFs there. Looks just like the boat.

Thanks guys for the information and help posting the picture. I have attached another picture which might help identify it. It does have the sliding front hatch and I believe a 50 or 55 gallon fuel tank. I am putting it back in the water today and will get some better pics.

The FFs had a small berthing area foward (cuddy cabin) and a porta-potti. Entry was through the sliding hatch. You've done a nice restoration job.

These boats have been called a few things, at least on this board, like a "dual console" model.  It certainly does look like the FF DEEP VEE version. The model wavered back and forth almost becoming the Explorer in looks except no walk-around (probably same hull).
