If not identical then certainly near replica's....Dorado, Sheaffer, Exuma, Gause,...just a few. A more appropriate and accurate query would be how do modern day hulls compare to that of the AS222, since the latter is the pioneer hull.
I think what he was implying, is that as the original, it is the gold standard in that style of boat. And that if it wasn't a performer, that it wouldn't have been copied so many times.
The 222 and 19-6 12 degree semi vee is the original bay boat. As mentioned many companies have flat out copied or made minor changes to the design and called it their own. The 222 CCP is a different hull with a 19 degree deadrise.
