10 days ago I was running along in a local bayou and had just checked my speed which indicated 22mph. When I looked up there was a 12x2x6 pressure treated board floating, mostly submerged, directly in front of me. Some knuckleheads were repairing a boat lift and let the board get away from them, of course it didn't come from their work site. I turned hard to stbd while pulling the throttle to neutral and hit it a glancing blow but when over the board. Not a discernible scratch on the hull or motor foot. One prop blade had a rough spot where it apparently hit a nail. Good ol' Aquasport.
On a somber note this past Sunday a local fellow was ejected from his 175 and killed when the boat started circling and struck him. Keep those lanyards connected guys.
