Unclebob,  Went to look at another AS this weekend; identical to yours I think.  The transom needs replacing now.  I want something I can splash by April so I passed on it.  Anyway, he's got the original manual for it.  He gave me permission to scan it so if you don't have a manual, you soon will.  Don't think it covers wiring though...

JimCT, that would be excellent! Not too worried about the wiring as there's not much to it. Let me know when you get the copies!

I added a couple pics to the gallery and will add more tomorrow when I have access to a better internet connection.

It's cleaning up pretty well, considering my investment so far is around $450, including the fishfinder (donated), GPS, VHF, 2 new batteries, and miscellaneous hoses, switches, etc.

Will get it to you as soon as I can get the scan done.

I looked at your new pix.  Wow!  You were certainly at the right place at the right time.  One of the advantages in having the cuddy is that it lets the girls feel more comfortable having some privacy available.  Not many of 'em feel too happy about hanging their keester over the side...

Yeah, the port-a-potty fits perfectly under the hatch. The wife liked that a lot, but she wants to have a place to sunbathe. The boat has a surprising amount of room for an 18 footer, and I'm trying to figure out a way to put a reclining double-seat in the rear, that I can remove when I need the room for fishing with the guys.

That's what I told her, but then she said she'd have to CLIMB up there.

Maybe if I could find some nice cushions for the bow, she wouldn't object. I wonder if the cuddy cushions would fit and stay up there??

Unclebob:  You are approaching this all wrong.  Its an ADVANTAGE & BENEFIT for her to climb up there because she would then be furthest away from that "nasty, stinky, noisy" motor.

Might try some Velcro on the fwd. deck to hold the cushions to hold them.

I have used Poly Glow on my boat for the past 5 years with great success.  It has been written up in powerboat reports as the best do it yourself gelcoat/finish restorer.  The initial cleanup is a pain, the finished product is fantastic.  Had numerous people ask me if the boat was new or referred to it as a boat that was only a few years old.

Kit only costs about $50, but the stuff is amazing once it's done.
