with Ulysses485 and dbiscayneWhere are you located?I used plascore (honeycomb) for the decking with a couple layers of 1708 on both sides to stiffen it up. Plascore also makes high density foam board. When using plascore honeycomb there is really nothing to hold a screw once you penetrate the 1708 though. It's good for decking but if you to attach a leaning post or t-top you would have to embed some high density coring before the 1708, like coosa or hardwood or even resin soaked plywood (not a great choice). You can go to a marine surplus place and they usually buy scraps of coosa from builders. That would be your best bet.Are you re-doing your transom? If so, what are you using for a core?
