Fuel tank hold down straps

My Osprey 200 will get a new aluminum fuel tank next week, same size as the original.  The original was held in place by two "band it" 3/4" 201 SS straps, each about 6'.  I see where I can buy 100' spools of the stuff, but does anybody know where I can get 6' or 12'? Thanks.  Doug

Don't use stainless straps in direct contact with an aluminum tank. Stainless will react with aluminum and cause galvanic corrosion. Best bet is to insulate them from the tank with something nonreactive. Do not use rubber... the carbon in the rubber will react too. Use clear vinyl or silicone (not RTV silicone caulk that's bad too!)

Thanks for the confirmation of no aluminum and stainless contact.  I plan to use clear vinyl hose cut lengthwise and opened up.
I gotta find the stainless straps first--hopefully for less than $100 bucks.
