Make sure you get a full engine report. This will give you the total number of hours, hours at certain RPM ranges, temperature graphs for each head and EMM, number of start cycles, fault code history and more. Better yet see the motor run on the stand with the Evinrude diagnostic software connected up. You can look for active faults, and test the injectors, ignition, fuel pump, oil injection pump and more. I would not even consider buying a modern outboard without a report. ANY dealer should know this. Also believe it or not these engine have firmware updates now and then. So you want to make sure the engine has the latest updates applied to it.
