Poly won't stick to epoxy but epoxy will stick to poly.

Some progress this weekend. Cut 4' section. Got it out in one piece so can use as template. What's best way to get crap off top of stringers? Long sawzall blade? Found some delam at bottom of stringers. Assuming I just grind it back and lay a few layers of glass to strengthen it.

You might try an air chisel with a big flat blade?

Progress today! Thanks for air chisel recco RickK.

How to fix those cracks by back of keel? Grind out a bit and lay a ton of glass on it? Is that the right way to fix delam by bottom of stringers too? Figure to peel back anything loose, rough it up and lap new glass from bottom over stringers before putting floor down. Going to seal up seam at bottom of transom as well and redrill drain plug hole.

Transom feels really solid, I should probably replace now as I'm sure there's some rot in there but really want to get her in the water. Is this dumb or is seacast not such a big deal? Would rather do that this winter.

Also, do I need to keep drain tubes from areas on outboard sides of stringers? Not sure how to keep them open when I pour floatation foam.

Hope to template plywood next weekend and start glass over Memorial Day weekend.

This reply is probably too late if you got a lot of work done Memorial Day weekend. For any cracks, I would just grind down the broken glass till I got to something solid then build it back up again with mat and roving.  I took the drain tubes out altogether. The original foam outside the stringers seems like open cell; the idea for the tubes was that water would work its way through the foam and drain back to the bilge. I will replace it with closed cell foam, so the drain tubes would be irrelevant.

Are you going to pull any deck of the front above the coffin? if so could you let me know the measurements between the stingers up there?

Yep. Cutting it out this weekend. I think it's about 25" between them. I'm putting in a 1323 tempress slam hatch with liner up there for more storage. Might add one in back as well with pry out in back of liner to access bilge pump.

I'll take some pics this weekend when I cut it all out.

Thank you. I plan on putting a hatch without the liner. thinking it would be a large semi dry storage and the coffin box will keep things from getting lost.
