Nice catch! :great02:

Wet?
Welcome to the club. I've owned 4 and they all have been the same. The hard chine forces water out and up. In a beam sea the wind carries it right back to ya. Your best bet is a helm enclosure. Doesn't help those in the cockpit but the driver stays somewhat dry.

Good luck. :thumright:

Looks like you'll be eating good for a while  :thumleft:
The explorer models are bow heavy with the short cabin up front and in the wrong seas can be wet. We decided to put full length bimini and a full eisenglass wrap on our explorer (we use the boat to camp) - here is a pic of it about half done.

From the inside - you can see the very front panel can be opened for air.  You can also see the helm side panels

but usually I install the front and helm sides if there is any wind and chop and I am going to be running in qtr winds.  Then I roll them up until I need them.
I think you probably need to find a local canvas pro and get a helm enclosure that can roll up.  If they design it right you can leave them installed.

Here is a link to the bimini and enclosure part of the topic http://classicaquasport.com/smf/index.php?topic=1529.msg9773#msg9773

Been chasing a few small black marlin of late and a few bigger blue marlin too. few photos. Still a very wet boat. and yes that is a blow-up unicorn on the front of the boat it was a ladies comp that we needed to dress up the boat and it stayed on the front for the trip. we ended up winning the under 7m class.
