Hydraulic is awesome, but unless you are putting a jack plate on or bracket I would reconsider. I would not do the upgrade unless you feel your steering cable is getting tough to steer. If it ain't broke then don't fix it.

Is it worth spending the extra $$ for Seastar steering on a 115hp motor? I have a jackplate and the cable is ok but would rather have the Hydraulic but see a lot of discussions as to just saving and getting the seastar. At most later on the boat would get a 150hp.

I have a baystar on my 140 with a jack plate and it works great, solid as a rock. save youre money for other upgrades and go with the baystar. just be careful because raising my motor up to lock the trim I ended up breaking off the fitting going into the cylinder.
