How much water in the stringer foam is too much?
« on: June 13, 2016, 07:46:43 PM »
I cut back the stringers to begin rebuilding the transom on my 200 CCP.  The foam in the stringers was dry with the exception the hull right under the foam which was wet to the touch.  Otherwise there is no water in the foam, and nothing oozes out when I squeeze it like the flotation foam did.

Do you think I'll be ok if I allow the stringers to dry out before tabbing and foaming the replacement stringer sections?

Most of the water collects in the stern so I'd say your good.
