Teak strip replacement
« on: August 19, 2016, 07:19:45 PM »
Does anybody know where to get teak 1" and 3/4" teak trim replacements? The wood on my XF is just so bad that it might more sense to buy a few news strips before trying to restore them.

Thanks.

Unless the teak strips are broken you'd be surprised how easy they can clean up.  I took off all my teak and sanded it with a DA. Then I sealed it with Semco Teak sealer.  This stuff works great.  MUCH better than oil.  gives a nice natural look to the teak and is easy to maintain.  Just wipe some on with a rag every few months.
