anyone running a 115 on a 22-2 CCP?

My eventual goal is to have two 115's on the back on a bracket. Just curious to see if anyone has ran a single on a 222 CCP before and how did it do.

Well,
In 1984 the 222 CCP came from Hialeah with a 185. For years I ran a 200 so......

I'm thinking a 115 isn't going to flip it over but,

The CCP (when new) is relatively light and has a shallow draft for its size but I' m not sure you could get it up on a plane especially dragging another dead 115.

Still a better kicker than say a 15hp.

Good luck and post some pics when you install the twins.

yeah that's what I was afraid of not being able to plane off. I just went ahead and got a quote from Geico to see if they would insure me with twin 150's and they said they would. I may be going in that direction instead of the 115's. The 150's will also be easier to find as a used pair. I don't think the extra weight is going to be a huge issue. I'll have a flotation style bracket installed.

I also have to redo the deck in the front, so while I am doing that. I may raise the floor an inch or two to help with the weight.

I will definitely post pictures when I get there.

I've got a 82 - 222 took off twin 115's and went to twin 175's it would come out of the water ! Then went to single 175 absolutely love it. it runs
great good control and economy.  My eventual goal is  going back to twin 4stroke 115's. good luck great Boat.

How did the boat handle the extra weight of the 175's?
