I wonder.  

Despite having repowered this season, while I made longer runs to go fishing, I think I used the boat less this season than others.  The season I had used it the most was when I was living where the boat was and I even used it to commute to work.  After work I could go out and fish till dark, even though I had no idea where to fish or even how to effectively pull the big ones in.  I could spend entire days by myself on the boat fishing, it was bliss.  I just don't have the time now nor do I live near where the boat is.  

I think I did use the boat more than last season as with the tempermental 87 Mercury, I was more leery of the motor and this season is not over yet and I know I'll be fishing into October and maybe even November this season.

There never seems to be enough time to use it "more" but I think I used it at least as much.

No have not used mine as much this season either, does not seem to be as much time lately with the kids activities and with the holidays coming who knows.  with the weather getting alittle cooler am going to try to make as much time as possible

You guys in Fl do have year-round opportunity, right?  

Up here, I'll be done by early November unless the fishing is good and I can stand to be on the water when it is 30-40 degrees out.  

I am sort of fortunate in that I'm not married or have any kids, that the only thing that stops me from going more is the boat is 100 miles away from work/home.

Yup, we can go boating/fishing year round.  In the winter here the problem is not so much the cold (yes it does get cold here, I remember standing at the bus stop in 19 degree weather HERE), it's the wind out of the north.  It whips up the bays and makes it miserable.  As for the temp, it does warm up substantially by around 10AM when the sun starts to get high in the sky but we are pretty spoiled though and whine about the cold a lot    Now, lets talk about Hurricanes ...
BTW, that must suck not having your boat at your home,  but I guess if the water is that far away, it saves you gas not towing it.

It seldom gets cold enough to stop me from fishing.  It can get rough enough to keep me in.

for me certainly less not only because of fuel prices, but also because of work. I got laid off last summer from my suit and tie job, so now i work a few part time jobs rather than begging for that job, and never have to worry about the back end of the corporate axe. 3 days a week involve boats and being out on the water on boats for 12-14 hours a shift, and the little spare time i have i actually enjoy not being beat up on the water. Therefore i have used my boat maybe 5 times, and mine may be for sale next spring sadly
